Paley famous for his "watch and the watchmaker argument" for the existence of God, (to be first published in 1802) was a significant philosopher following Hume, and preceding Jeremy Bentham. Paley worked on proving the existence of God and the legitimacy of Christianity through philosophical methods. This volume examines the historical proof for Christianity and some potential objections to Paley's arguments.
