Description:
Columbia, SC: Julian K. Quattlebaum | printed by R. L. Bryan Company, 1957. Hard Cover. Very Good binding/Very Good dust jacket. Quarto. [10], 133, [1] pp., illus. First edition. As issued, in black and red cloth with publisher issued dust jacket. presentation page bears the name of Augusta Henrietta Roebling White; it is uncertain in whose hand this is written. Binding is presentable with only trivial shelfwear; hinges are just a trifle loose; contents clean; dust jacket is quite sharp with just a bit of scuffing to the back panel and a small closed tear to the top edge of the front panel; foxing to the verso. Profusely illustrated, this is an uncommon book in uncommonly good condition.

Description:
1810. Disbound. Good binding. 12mo. 24 pp. Removed from binding; side-stapled with outer conjugate leaves mended with Japanese tissue. Six-digit number stamped on title-page. An interesting speech at a time when the United States is navigating the unrest in Europe during the Napoleonic Wars and finding its relationships to France and Britain increasingly strained. Quincy feels the House has gone overboard in the language used in the censure of the British ambassador in his discussions with the President Madison. Very uncommon Quincy item.
