Spine faded to brown and worn with a small closed split to the upper joint, a little light spotting to the front and rear leaves and the fore edge, else a decent copy.

The American issue is almost entirely identical to the British, with Harrap's name on the title and copyright pages and the jacket spine but with the American publisher David Mackay's name in gilt at the foot of the cloth spine.
