Rowling Hardcover First Edition - Fourteenth (14th) Printing London: Bloomsbury UK 1997 £10.99 cover price (but most likely printed in 1998).
Issue Points: Printing number-line down to "14". "Joanne Rowling" listed as the copyright holder and Clays Ltd. indicated as the printer. Retains the young wizard on the back and spine. The main difference between this edition and the true first is the mention of HP and the Chamber of Secrets and corrected error on page 53, the "one wand" duplication error fixed.
Fine- in Fine Dust Jacket, a beautiful copy with only a hint of tiny dings to the top and bottom back corners. slight toning to the pages but less than what I've seen with other copies, (common with UK books prior to circa 2000). Diamond design dark blue boards with green cloth spine, raised lettering on dust jacket. States "First Edition" on copyright page followed by full printing line beginning with "1" to indicate a first printing. This copy has the following first-state errors: on the page flanking the title page indicating Rowling's previous books, "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" instead of "Sorcerer's Stone" and on page 332, the last word "ancestor" should be "descendant".
