Full contemporary calf with five raised bands to spine, and leather labels to compartments two and three. Only vols VI and VII have intact title labels, the others are either partially or totally lost. The volume numbers are all present but worn. General wear, rubbing and staining to bindings. All boards attached; a few straining at joints but firmly held. Vol II cracked along length of spine and Vol. I starting. Vol. II headband hanging by a thread. Page edges age-toned and soiled, especially top. Armorial device to front pastedowns of all except VII. Minor insect damage to I and II. Back free endpapers partially torn out of I, II and IV.
