This is the Croatian or Slovenian translation of one of the most widely used textbooks of organic chemistry: Pine, Hendrickson, Cram, and Hammond, Organic Chemistry, 4th Edtion. The translation is by Irena Ranogajec and edited by Mira Herak. The book itself is essentially unused. The pages are clean and unmarked. There is a penciled price mark on the inside cover. The binding is straight and tight. The covers are in very good condition but show fading from exposure to light. (The spine has faded more than the covers.) The cover hinges look worn (see pictures) but it is just poor construction (it was a difficult period of history in the region) and they are fine and intact. The book is essentially a New book that has been sitting on the shelf for many years. A very good copy from a personal, professional library.
The main text is the encyclopedic list of chemicals and drugs. There are also many other tables, including several presentations of the Periodic Table of the Elements, Conversion Tables, pH Values of Standard Solutions, Poisoning first aid, and so on.
Covers and binding are good. The spine cover shows wrinkling from usage but is in good condition.
The only markup is the graphite stamped 1968 price on the page opposite the inside cover (erasable with a regular pencil eraser).
