[Fowler, 285; Berlin Catalog, 3920; Mortimer, 481; Brunet V, 104]. This work on columnar figures is one of the most decorative books of the Lyonnese school. In the present work he explains by means of textual description and illustration eighteen pairs of "termes" base on the five orders with his own inventions. There are thirty-six fine and delicate full-page woodcuts showing decorated and detailed figures. Each pai becomes progressively more ornate or grotesque with the development of fruit flower motifs, masks, rams' heads, acanthus leaves, lions' heads, and satyrs.
