No date of publication stated, circa 1920, Third edition, so stated, in the publisher's green paper boards with white linen spine, 24mo (5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches), pp. 58 [59-60] + one leaf ads. Frontispiece and 12 other plates [13 total] as called for. Title page verso and dedication page were separated originally with a dull implement or unsteady hand, resulting in uneven top edges resembling a tear (see image for our best attempt at a close-up), otherwise GOOD with light shelf wear to the board tips.

Hardcover, octavo, pp. xvii, 308 plus index. Black and white illustrations. Very good in the publisher's black cloth over boards. Spine lettering gilt. Dust Jacket very good and ensconced in a clear protective sheet of removable mylar.

Wraps, octavo, pp. 22. Color illustrations throughout. Light wear, as with age and handling, but good and sound in the publisher's stapled illustrated wrappers.

Hardcover, quarto, pp. xiv, 232 plus index. INSCRIBED by the author on the free front end-paper. Pinhead sized stain in the margin of page 200, and its offset on page 201. Previous owner was unable to erase completely an old notation on free front end-paper near top edge. Withal, GOOD and sound in the publisher's tan cloth with spine lettering gilt. Fair-only dust jacket a little weary from pre-mylar days, with chipping and shelf rubs at spine ends and fold points. Old price sticker removal abrasion on front panel, and small tear closed by tape at the top edge of the rear panel. Jacket now protected against further wear by a new sheet of archival Brodart.

Reprinted from the Georgia Historical Quarterly and bound in blue cloth with upper board lettering, now faded, octavo, pp. 25. Black and white frontispiece and one other full page illustration. Light shelf wear at spine ends and board tips. Foxing, heavier at endpapers, much lighter internally.

Wraps, 12mo, pp. 24. Very good in the publisher's stiff beige paper wraps with brown lettering within a brown & orange decorative border.

Hardcover in slipcase, octavo, pp. 121. Illustrations by T. M. Cleland. Just light wear. Very good in the publisher's maroon cloth with gilt spine and upper board lettering and decorative device. Slipcase very good. Heritage Club Sandglass newsletter laid in.

Small old bookseller ticket near bottom edge of front pastedown. Previous owner's 1923 name on free front endpaper. Shelf wear at spine ends and board tips. GOOD condition. Dust jacket FAIR-only with chipping and shallow erosion at spine ends and flap fold tips.

Second printing, octavo, pp. xi, 309. Publisher's mustard-colored boards with black spine and upper board lettering. Light shelf wear and spotting on rear panel. Lower board fore-edge extends slightly farther than upper board fore-edge, as in an under-bite. Clean and unmarked internally.

Illustrated card stock wrappers, 12mo, pp. ix, 132 plus ads. Just light shelf wear.

Textured blue boards with printed paper label on upper board, octavo, pp. 32 [1]. Top edge gilt. Textured cream-colored endpapers. Inscribed "Cordially Yours" by the author on the free front endpaper. Fragile patterned glassine dust wrapper is tattered along perimeter.

Publisher's black cloth with spine lettering gilt, quarto, pp. 160. Illustrated throughout. First Smithmark edition. Very Good with just light shelf rubs. Illustrated dust jacket Very Good with light shelf wear.

Edition limited to 350 copies printed by hand from hand-set type, 16mo, pp. 22. INSCRIBED by author in the year of publication to previous owner on the free front endpaper. GOOD in the publisher's stapled cardstock wrappers with a black cardstock French-style dust wrapper. Offsetting on endpapers from wrapper flaps, and front wrap has a short tear with no loss, from top-edge down spine about 1 inch. Protected from further wear now in a clear display sleeve with white cardstock backing board. NOTE: Our camera's flash has somehow made the title in Photo 1 look brighter than it is. It is actually quite dull.

Fifth edition, limited to 300 copies printed by hand from hand-set type, 16mo, pp. 22. SIGNED by the author at bottom of final page. Brief previous owner Christmas gift inscription on free front endpaper verso. GOOD in the publisher's stapled cardstock wrappers with a black cardstock French-style dust wrapper. Front wrap has two nicks with no loss at center of top-edge. Protected from further wear now in a clear display sleeve with white cardstock backing board. DeGolyer Library Keepsake Number 4. Edition limited to 500 copies, tall octavo, pp. 17 plus colophon. Illustrated. Very good in the publisher's stapled wrappers with upper wrap lettering within decorative border. Account of the plot to free Santa Anna "from the chains of his Texas captors." Ensconced in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board.

First Viking Penguin edition, in the publisher's original cloth-backed boards, small quarto, pp. 206 + [1]. Endpaper maps. Black and white illustrations.
