Los Angeles: Signal Oil Company, No date [1937]. First Edition. Stapled wrappers (3.5 x 6.5 inches). 12 pp. Illustrated in b&w. Small hole punch at upper left which goes through the entire booklet, light corner crease, otherwise near fine. Scarce. This was issued by the Sinclair Oil & Gas Company as a premium for their customers. Contains 17 tricks. Carl Eugene Zamloch (1889–1963) was a major league baseball pitcher, professional magician, and head coach of the University of California baseball and soccer teams. Zamloch was one of the first modern magicians known for performing the "Card on the Ceiling" trick, doing it while in his teens.

Tony Kardyro began his career performing as "Tony London", changing it to "Tony Kardyro" around 1933. He also performed as "Senor Torino, the Continental Deceptionist" when presenting his dove act. He once explained his working under so many names by saying that he had worked all the venues and a new name was needed for new bookings. Kardyro was the originator of the Dove Bag. He wrote a autobiographical column in New Tops called "Kardyro's Magical Highway".
