Small "Tulsa County Historical Society" stamp on a few pages, call numbers written in black ink at bottom left of front cover. No other library markings. The article in this publication is: Desmids of Oklahoma by Clarence E. Taft. Signed on the front cover by A. O. Weeks, Ecologist for the Survey.

Philadelphia: Gebbie Publishing, 1897. Hardcover. Four volumes in eight books, all very good+ or better. Ribbed maroon cloth with black leather labels on the spine. Minor foxing on a few pages, a few corners are slightly bumped. The maroon cloth may have a little rubbing and shelfwear. Deckled foredge and gilt on top rdge of page block. A nice set of this classic study of English Literature.

Philadelphia: People's Publishing Co.; (1896). First Edition . Hardcover. Salesman's sample, in fair condition. All original pages are present, many with small strips of paper overlaying them which give further explanation of what the scene shows (these will only exist in the salesman's sample. Quite a few of the pages have tears (a few with small chips), but the text is all present. Pencil scribbling on floral front endpaper. Binding shows cloth on front board, with leather edging on rear board. At rear of book are blank lined pages for subscriber's name and addresses (there are actually eight names filled in).

NY: Doubleday & McClure, 1899. First Edition . Hardcover. First edition, third issue of the author's first book. Page 245, line 12 ends in the word "glance". A very good copy with no dust jacket. Small bookseller's stamp on the front endpaper, and the start of a hinge split at the top of the front hinge. The rear pastedown has a small creased tear at the foredge. Still a tight and clean copy, with the colors and printing on the front boards and spine bright and clear.

NY: Doubleday & McClure, 1899. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. First edition, first issue of the author's first book. Very good+ with no dust jacket. The spine is just slightly leaned; gift inscription fron Christmas 1899 on front endpaper. The ear of corn on the spine is pointing down, the cloth is a lighter green than later issue copies, and all four textual issue points are present. A relatively nice copy, with very little wear to the cloth.

NY: The McClure Company, 1908. First Edition . Hardcover. Very good+ with no dust jacket. Red cloth is slightly worn at spine ends and corners. A few pages near the front have dogeared corners that have been straightened. A tight and fairly clean copy of Tarkington's tenth book. Color frontispiece with tissue guard, and four other illustrations by W. J. Duncan

McClure, Phillips & Company, 1905. First Edition . Hardcover. Very good with no dust jacket. Rose colored cloth is a little worn and the spine is sunned. The spine is also slightly cocked. 1905 gift inscription on front endpaper.

Slight crack of front hinge at half title page (book is still tight). Blue boards with orange labels on front board and spine are bright and clean.The jacket spine is sunned, and there is a small chip at the head of the spine. A nice art deco style jacket, with a little general soiling. This was the first title published by the newly merged Doubleday, Doran. $2,50 price on front flap; no names or other marking in the book.

Garden City, NY: Doubleday, Page & Co. 1914. First Edition . Hardcover. First edition, second issue. Very good with no dust jacket. Blue boards with white lettering and a circular illustration in the front board. The edges of the cloth are soiled at places, as are the page edges. Name in ink, and inscription in pencil on the front endpaper. Illustrations by Gordon Grant .
