New York, New York, U. S. A.: Carroll & Graf Pub. New with no dust jacket. 2001. Hardcover. NEW - Still in shrink wrap. This book explores the timeless appeal of the geisha as an icon of formal perfection, accomplished in many areas - yet also a potent symbol of eroticism. Part one offers insights into apprenticeship disciplines, the art of wearing a kimono, makeup, preparing hair and so forth. One also learns how to perform as a hostess, dancer and musician. This book is done in accordian-style folded pages, and is fully illustrated in color. There is a small black line at…
