Boston, MA: Beacon Press, 1969. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. The price is clipped on the front flap. DJ shows scuffing and toning with a few crimps along the bottom and a small stain on the spine, edges and corners show bumps and small tears. Blue paper and cloth boards underneath also show some toning and scuffing along with light corner bumps. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks. The only handwriting found in the book is on the front end page where there is "xxxx" written along the top edge and on the half title page and see where a price was once penciled and then later erased.

Softcover, original 1905 publication in original wraps - not a modern reprint or rebound library copy. Front and rear cover contains the name stamp of F. C. Schrader and this is also stamped inside the book. Frank Charles Schrader (1860-1944) of Harvard and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) was a well-known and respected American geologist, mineralogist, and entomologist, and author. He was known throughout the west as the prospector's friend and was also one of the first federal geologists to explore Alaska. Exterior shows toning along with spotting and mild soiling. Edges and corner show bumps and spine is chipping at the top and bottom edges. The internal binding is good and text pages are secure. Paper is toned due to age and there is some spotting and foxing present. No handwriting or library markings present.

Hardcover, olive green cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows spotting and soiling as well as edge and corner bumps. Text on spine is faded spine also is spotted, front board has vertical crease starting near the upper right corner. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings present. Pages are toned due to age and there is some minor spotting and foxing.

Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1925. Soft cover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Softcover, original 1925 publication with original wraps - not a modern reprint or rebound library copy. The front exterior cover has a large dark spot as well as edge and corner chips. Rear cover is also darkened in spots in the lower right corner has a piece of white paper stuck to it. In addition, the rear cover is stuck to the rear blank end page, this issue continues in about 2 inches from the spine. Interior binding is good and the text pages are tight. Paper is toned due to age and there is some light spotting and foxing present. No signatures or bookplates, no handwriting, no library markings found.

Large softcover, original government publication in original wraps. Exterior shows edge and spine issues which includes chipping and tearing. Front cover has a dark spot along the bottom and the original owners name written in pencil along the top edge. Internal binding is good and text pages are secure. Paper is toned due to age and some minor spotting and foxing is present. No other handwriting noted other than the name written on the front cover. No bookplates, no underlining no library markings. The last text page has some tearing in the gutter which was caused by a bit of binder glue. An extremely rare publication which also covers the Brownsville affray and was released by the 59th Congress, second session. Title page states document number 155.

Princeton, NJ: Princeton University / State Gazette, 1898. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards with gilt design on front. Exterior shows soiling, scuffing. The book is referencing Princeton university's class of 1898. Pages are toned due to age. Hinge is starting to open at front board, about 40 or 50%. Only handwriting found in book was the original owner's info written in pencil on the first page which states "Irvine R. Dickey's Class". Book contains 180 pp. plus section on Class of 1898 statistics and numerous advertisement pages.

Baltimore, MD: Bonsal & Niles, 1803. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original full leather binding though the spine has been reinforced for the red library tape. Corners and leather both show wear and some minor scuffing is present. The internal binding of the text portion of the pages is tight but the hinges at both front and rear boards have been reinforced with library tape and there is some pulling at the second end page. Paper is toned due to age and foxing is present throughout, some pages are quite tanned. Front pastedown contains signature and opposite end page has a pen mark along the top edge, second and page also contains a name in pen. No other handwriting found in the book, no bookmarks, no library markings. Two of the pages had the lower corner folded in, these have been straightened out. Neusohl (Banská Bystrica): Philipp Machold, 1840. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with rare to find slipcase. Slipcase is still a one piece though there are some splits at the seams and quite a bit of scuffing and spotting but it did a very nice job protecting the boards of the book over the decades. The book has full leather binding with ornately blindstamped designs, highlighted in gilt. The front and rear boards show rubbing the leather in some loss to the gold but this could be treated. The spine is a different matter as it was exposed so it is quite scuffed and worn looking with faded gilt. All exterior page edges are also gilt and stamped with design. Internal binding is very nice and text pages are tight. Pattern gray glossy end pages in front and rear show only minor chipping and bumping. Paris, France: Firmin-Didot, 1888. Hardcover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. See photos for condition details. Tall hardcover, red stamped cloth boards ornately decorated in gilt on spine. Exterior shows some spotting and soiling along with light corner and edge bumps, spine is quite faded. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Beautiful marbled end pages in front and rear are free of any handwriting or bookplates, no library markings etc. Pages are toned due to age and scattered foxing is present throughout with the worst being the end pages and exterior page edges. Text is in French.

Grand Rapids, MI: Grand Rapids Show Case Co., 1912. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, tanned paper covered boards with brown cloth the spine. This is the original publication, not a reprint. Exterior shows edge and corner bumps/wear along with soiling from handling. Front board has a large red number four written in crayon or grease pencil. Interior binding is good and text pages are tight. It is doubtful the book was read more than once or twice. Pages are toned due to age and some foxing is present though mainly limited to the end pages. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings. An extremely rare title.

Original price of $6.95 still present on the front flap. Stated first printing. Book was purchased new from distributor and was briefly placed on our store shelf before being packed away. Front end page shows where price was penciled in the corner and then erased. This is not a pre-owned book and purchased direct from the distributor. Binding tight as book has never been read. Dust jacket shows a few handling spots. No remainder marks. See photos.
