This copy has been inscribed "John-warmest personal regards-Brian Urquhart--21 December 1972"--and comes from the personal collection of author John Stoessinger--who knew and worked with Urquhart in the United Nations over several years. Stoessinger wrote among other books--"The Wealth of Nations", "From Holocaust to Harvard"-"Why Nations Go To War" and "Henry Kissinger: The Anguish of Power". Stoessinger was college friends with Kissinger --and after some personal issues within the United Nations--was pardoned by President Reagan. A near fine copy with just a little dustiness to the outside page edges. The dustjacket is unclipped and has edgewear to the extremities. The subject of the book is United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold--and Urquhart was a personal friend who had complete access to the personal papers.
