Catalog to accompany Naguchi' exhibition at the Hirshhorn iMuseum in Washington, DC and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York Book is in 'as new' condition except for previous owner's name and date printed near the top f the first flyleaf page.Also included is an 8 page brochure on the exhibition.

Book in in excellent condition. Faults are an inscription on the first end-paper and slight wrinkling of linen on front cover. Softcover Exhibition catalogue in excellent conditon. Only fault we found was miniscule wear at cover corners. 123 mostly color plates.

Stated first edition. We could not find any faults in the book other than some light shelf wear along the top and bottom of the spine. B & W photos throughout the book. xx + 279 pages.

Both book and unclipped dj are in 'As New' condition.

First edition by The Heritage Press. In As New condition. Translated from the French by Mercier Lewis. Fine drawings, many full-page, by Edward Wilson throughout the book. Slipcase has some wear at edges and around spine.

Rare first edition, presumed first printing. There are no indication on the publication page of any other printings. The book has a good bit of wear on covers (see photos). The binding is tight and the pages and illustrations are all clean, clear, without marks (except for a signature at the top of the first endpaper), tears, foxing or toning (except for light toning on the inside cover edges and adjacent endpapers). No dj.

Stated 14th printing, October, 1954. Book is in very good - excellent condition except for shelf wear along cover edges and some small smudge marks on the inside front cover and small check marks on introduction pages vii -ix. Otherwise no tears, marks, foxing, folding, etc. Part of the original dj is included - back page and back inside flap - both in poor condition.

The only faults we could find are some age toning on the endpapers and noticeable fraying on the back cover vertical edge. Unclipped dj ($4.95) has several repaired tears, a piece missing (upper left corner of front dj) and much chipping at edges.

This is no. 25 of a limited edition of 1,470 signed copies, of which 95 were colored in Rockwell Kent's studio .Printed on all all rag French paper. The book is in excellent condition despite some serious wear along the spine )See photo). The pages are clear without any foxing, marks or tears. The gold impressions on the title remain sharp and the binding tight. Kent's signature and book number are on the last page (see photo)..

Two matching volumes - both reprints. Vol. 1 published in 1930, 367 page, includes the the Introduction by Thomas Carlyle, and index. Vol. 2 published in 1926, 369 total pages. Both are in excellent condition. Vol. 1 has notes written in ink on the top of page 19 and last end-paper. Vol 2. has a small chip at the top of the first 4 pages, age toning/shadowing on on the first title page and and two lines of script in ink on the last end-paper. Both volumes have some darker areas on the cover and spine. Otherwise, no tears, marks or foxing on the pages.
