Binding generally quite good, with variations in color and some marks, but leather labels are chipped with loss on volumes 1 and 4, and spine ends are shelf-worn. Upper board of volume 4 bumped. Early armorial bookplate. Text bright and clean.

Some slight discoloration to covers, and small bump at base of top cover, but overall unblemished and very good. Catalogue of prints by H.N. Werkman (1882-1945), an experimental Dutch artist, typographer and printer. He set up a clandestine printing house during the Nazi occupation (1940–45) and was shot by the Gestapo in the closing days of the war.

Alma Bridwell White was a founder of the white supremacist Pillar of Fire Church, which was associated with the Ku Klux Klan. Her rhetoric is not alien to today's evangelicals.
