All edges gilt. 51 illustrations in line by W. Heath Robinson, Helen Stratton, A.D. McCormick, A.L. Davis and A.E. Norbury. It's illustrated on nearly every single page, with large drawings at that. Very impressive. Robinson contributes 18 full page and 189 smaller line drawings [Beare, pp. 113]. Stratton is an extremely underappreciated artist; this and her solo volume, Hans Anderson's Fairy Tales (also Newnes, 1899), are two of her major works that deserve more attention.
