Holt, Unknown Printing, no statement, no date Main Title Page, but the price is on DJ, Not Ex-library, but is non-fiction and doing his day job, observing the "Negro". 1930 is the copyright, published?. Blue cloth bright gold lettering all on the spine, there is a small imprint on the front cover middle, of the Henry Holt's Owl. No markings except a surface moisture stain with the index pages affected (not bad and no foxing or mold) looking closely I do notice it dulled part of the back cover(again not bad). Unread tightness, clean, and square. DJ: has a bad moisture stain(caused some damage to the dj only) to back cover top and top of the rear flap, A chip like a triangle 1 inch rear cover away from the stain. Minor edgewear and light rubbing, price is intact $3.50.

This book looks like an Easton Press or Franklin Library type book. Green leather with gold gilt decorations, lettering, and page ends. the only defect is a very very small scratch area on the bottom edge. This is a collection of her short stories. A nice addition to any collection.

#2 in print-line. Light green cloth with gold lettering, sun-faded to the edges, bruised spine ends. DJ is price-clipped. Signed/inscribed 1st leaf.

THIS IS A FORMER D.APPLETON CENTURY CO. EMPLOYEE LIBRARY COPY. Who is also the publisher, #3 ON THE LAST PAGE OF THE TEXT. I guess they could not get enough people to do the play at lunch? The book is tight and looks good, some touchup has been done but it is still fraying on the spine ends. Clean no markings except the library stamp, pocket inside front cover, that's it.

Grayish Blue hard cloth, gold lettering. Very minor rubbing to the extreme edges, bookshop stamp inside cover bottom, previous owners name 1st leaf. Drama by zoe akins, novel by edith wharton. (1) final page of text meaning 1st printing. Clean square and unread tightness. Excellent copy.

Appleton, 1920 True First Edition, with all the 1st issue points, (1) last page of text.And the paragraph(line7&8) "Forasmuch as it hath pleased Almighty God-" the Rector began...(is present) Book:is complete with is original covers but a nice candidate for rebounding with the covers,like glove leather glued to the edges/corners and restore the color to the spine which is sunned but the lettering is very visible,there is wear and bumping(minor) along the edges and corners. The worst condition is the spine area,it is spilt 3/4 up along the front and rear covers,with very small tears on both ends of the spine,all lettering is present,there is a rubbed spot front cover near the spine and light rubbing and soiling.the pages end light soiled..Inside: inside the covers 1st and last leaf are darken,pencil name with imagination and an arrow inside rear cover,pencil name 1st leaf,pg 10-11 are darken caused by storing newsprint and webbing showing,a spot or two on a few pages. Blue hard cloth gold lettering, Reprint Publishers unknown printing, wear to the edges, light area top spine, and messy top edge color. The bottom spine area is beginning to fray, with very little shelf-wear. No markings and unread tightness, very Square and clean. DJ: has chipping with a large one top spine taking out Best, and bottom 1/3 across. The top edge has medium chipping almost across entirely. These reprints usually don't have printed prices.

New York: Dial, 1991 minor bumping spine bottom,dj has a small tear, signed by Jeanne White 1st leaf with long inscription, dated 7/13/91..unread tightness.. Signed by Ryan's Mom. Stated First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good+.

FIRST EDITION STATED AS ARE ALL SO FAR INTO ITS 75TH PRINTING(THIS ONE IS THE 7TH PRINTING), ASK THE OTHERS WHAT DO THEY MEAN BY LATER PRINTING ASK FOR THE NUMBERLINE NUMBER. Very Good+ or better, some would say Near Fine or Fine and then then list the defects, this one has bruised spine ends, and 1st leaf looks like it may have been folded at one time, leaving a crease. Except for the signature(only) on the title page, no other marks. Other than that it appears to be Fine. Dustjacket has price intact, but has minor shelfwear and the top two corners have minor chips. At this price and Condition the best as of 10/7 on the internet. Ask for photos like mine.

Inscribed By the Author. Unknown. Cloth. Good - Very Good/None.
