Tall quarto, crisp black-and-white plates. Introduction by the architect Enrique Yanez. Boston: Lothrop, Lee & Shepard, 1881. Very Good/Very Good. The 1881 early printing of this children's/juvenile tale of "chivalry in England". Incredibly, including its pictorial, dark-red dustjacket (making this the oldest dustjacket this bookseler has handled). Solid and VG (very light staining along the lower-tips of the preliminaries) in a clean, remarkably well-preserved example of the sturdy dustjacket, especially considering its age. Light creasing along the spine ends, a 1 1/2" chip at the rear panel's upper corner. Several small closed tears as well to the panel edges. Still though, a bright, very presentable, all but completely intact dustjacket.
