An account of the author's time as a prisoner of war during World War One - Yeats Brown saw action in France and in Mesopotamia, where he flew with the Royal Flying Corps. In 1915, his plane was damaged upon landing during a sabotage mission near Baghdad. He was subsequently captured by the Turkish Army and spent the following two years as a prisoner of war. He would become better know for his account of his time in India between 1905 - 1914 which was published under the title 'The Lives of a Bengal Lancer'.
