New York:: Harper Collins,, 2002. ARC. First edition.. 8vo.. Publishers illustrated paper wraps, illustrated in full color. Unlike the mass market book, this edition has black and white illustrations, rather than color, stating that the book will indeed be in color. Comes with additional five page pamphlet from the publisher, with color illustrations and information on the book Abarat, and Clive Barker. Near fine condition, with just minimal wear not uncommon with ARC copies. Fully illustrated. The first book in the Books of Abarat series. Based upon hundreds of paintings by Barker, Abarat focuses on Candy Quackenbush, a teenage girl frustrated with her life in Chickentown, Minnesota. While there they come across the evil sorcerer Christopher Carrion. A Dark Park ... Read more

New York:: Joanna Cottler,, 2004.. First edition.. Hardcover.. Publishers laminated red boards, artwork to cover, title to spine, minor bump to spine ends, small bookseller sticker (Hicklebees, San Jose)to front endpaper at bottom, no affect to book. Inscribed by Clive Barker on title page ÒTo Anne Marie - With love from CliveÓ, with sketch of bearded man and stars, over two pages. Overall, excellent. Illustrated dust jacket, near fine. In new protective mylar. We believe this likely to be some associate copy, perhaps a personal friend, as Barker does not normally sign books inscribed Òwith loveÓ and without a date. It is also a fun note to add, Anne-Marie McCoy was a character in the film Candyman based on Barkers work. An awesome piece for the Barker collector, at a very affordable price.
