Several nicks and rounded page tips. A fragile affair but ensconced now in a clear display sleeve with white card-stock backing board. Lead article: "The Voyage of Captain George Waymouth To The Coast Of Maine In 1605." Also of interest: "Incorporation of Brewer, February 22, 1812"

Reprinted from the Georgia Historical Quarterly and bound in blue cloth with upper board lettering, now faded, octavo, pp. 25. Black and white frontispiece and one other full page illustration. Light shelf wear at spine ends and board tips. Foxing, heavier at endpapers, much lighter internally.

Book was published in January of 1946. This is the Second printing, dated March of that year. Publisher's red cloth with gold spine lettering and a gold upper board bivouac vignette, octavo, pp. xiv, 313, plus index. Generous selection of black and white illustrations. This copy also complete with both the fold-out maps that are often missing: (1) City of Richmond in 1861; and (2) Richmond-Petersburg Theatre of Operations. Book is in GOOD condition with some shelf and handling wear. Old Richmond bookstore ticket near bottom edge of front pastedown. Some off-setting at pastedown gutters. Previous owner, a late Civil War reader in Georgia, was more a scholar than collector and shelved his books a bit haphazardly, so a keen eye might detect a slight shelf lean to this particular volume. Dust jacket is FAIR only with loss of paper at spine ends and flap tip fold points. Random rubs and nicks, as well. Jacket now protected by a removable sheet of Brodart.

No date of publication given, but circa 1920, via the date of the Preface. Publisher's red cloth with black spine and upper board lettering, octavo, pp. xxii, 190 plus pp. 8 ads. Frontis illustration of Bergson. Previous owner private library catalog number on front pastedown. Owner made notes and underlining in the Introduction and seems to have grappled mightily with Chapter II, "The Reality of Change," making extensive notes and underline marks, and a dog ear of page tip 21/22. Random shelf scuffs on the boards and some slight fore-edge serration on a few preliminary leaves.

Publisher's stapled printed wrappers, octavo, pp. 87. This is a worn volume with age toning and some creasing on the wrapper edges. Staples are rusty. An old stain on rear panel near top edge (see photo). Clean and unmarked internally. Safely stored now in a clear new Ultra-Pro display sleeve.

This unique copy from the personal books of Press owner Fred Anthoensen (1882-1969), without identifying marks, but acquired by us from a family member contemporary with Fred in the 1950s and 1960s, now a nonagenarian.

First edition, so stated, and Limited to 1,000 copies in red and black boards, quarto, pp. xxxix, 759 + colophon. Illustrated endpapers. Some black and white illustrations, as well as ornamental head- and tail-pieces. Very Good condition with just light shelf rubbing. A huge undertaking by Ms. Jumonville, who wrote extensively on Louisiana history.

Jacket now protected from further wear by a removable mylar sleeve. A tome, indeed.

Light shelf wear at spine ends and board tips. Front hinge beginning to show signs of tenderness. Upper board fore-edge protrudes beyond the lower board fore-edge very slightly, as in an overbite. Some foxing. About GOOD condition withal.

Four Numbers bound as one in red library buckram with black spine lettering and college library call number. (A steady, confident hand might be able to remove the tape that holds the call number in place, if desired.) Due Date slip tipped in at rear. Withdrawn from a Maine college library with proper stamping. Contains a frontis index and the following four numbers of The Book Collector: (1) Volume 6, Number 1, Spring 1957; (2) Volume 6, Number 2, Summer 1957; (3) Volume 6, Number 3, Autumn 1957; and (4) Volume 6, Number 4, Winter 1957. Illustrations. Many contemporary ads. Overall Very Good condition because, blasphemy of blasphemies, the volume does not bear any evidence of ever having been checked out.
