Author inscribed 'To Frank Dewey with compliments of the author Ezra Meeker, Omaha Neb, Sept 26th 1922.' This is the story of the author's 85 years including 63 years of pioneer life and adventures in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest and his travels on the Oregon Trail. Cover is rubbed especially on edge of back cover. Binding is secure but beginning to crack at page xii. No marks except for author's inscription on first free end paper and a name in ink on page xii of text.

An advanced reading copy of The Butcher's Theater still in shrink wrap with promotional letter opener piercing cover. Review documents in envelope sealed inside the book. Shrink wrap has parted at the bottom allowing dust to enter. There is discoloration after being partially sealed for almost 30 years.
