The present offering is a presentation copy, inscribed "For Judy Minty -- / in friendship and in poetry" and signed by Wakoski using her trademark flower illustration. The text of this volume of 44 poems includes "Looking for the King of Spain & Pachelbel's Canon" (as specially noted on the title page). Laid in to this volume is a brief yet revealing letter from Wakoski to Minty, expressing the genesis of the poem "Directions" (pp. 64-65) and the author's feelings of "how much I hated homosexuality". The speaker in the poem "Directions" makes reference to the names "Diane" and "Judy" in the text of the poem. Minimal shelf wear to acetate jacket, else fine.
