Paperback: brown thin card wrappers, lettered in dark brown with pasted on plate to front; stapled, oblong format, unpaginated. Consists of 15 colour reproductions (one per page) of watercolour views of Cambridge (mostly the colleges) by Quinton, and title page (no text accompanying). Good condition overall . Wrappers poor: browned with spots and marks, small chip loss to front illustration. Vandeleur lead a military expedition in 1897 that surveyed the Nupe country around the Niger river, and his route is shown on one of the maps. Also some military actions are described.
