Description:
Published by Weidenfeld & Nicholson, New York; 1987. 8vo. 143pp. First edition, first impression. **Signed by the author**. Condition: Fine/Fine.
Bound in original red cloth and grey boards, with the title to the spine. The binding is square and tight, in excellent condition with just a touch of bumping to the corners. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and the binding so tight the book appears unread. The book is signed by the author to the title page.
This lovely book is housed in it's equally smart, original dust jacket. Other than the slightest hint of bumping to the top corners, the jacket is in Fine condition, with no damage or marks to speak of.
In all, this is a exceptionally smart example of the author's third collection of stories. The 14 tales are contemporary fables of deep loneliness and almost mystical redemption. This is a particularly smart example, signed by the author.
