Most intruiging are the photos - where else would you find a photo of The Edinbugrh Castle, bought by Barnardo in 1872,and converted from a gin palace into a church mission and London's first coffe palace, before and after propaganda photos of destitute children, and a photo of one-legged men on parade. The album measures 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches and is 2 1/2 inches thick. All edges red. A stunning collection of 31 posed studio portraits of ladies of the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy. The photographs measure 7 x 4 inches and are mounted on 8x 4 inch photostudio cards.
