A interesting research item for historian or collectors of the Michigan lumber era. Saginaw was on of the top three lumber cities in Michigan during the boom, and many impressive lumber baron Victorian houses still stand today. Jerome & Co. had salesrooms on Court St and warehouses on North and South Water Sts. Cover worn, internally very good.

Dust Jacket has been preserved by packaging tape on verso. This tape surface was once glued to inside boards, now signs of removal on book. Dust jacket itself was not glued to book. The tape makes the jacket stiff, but it's complete with a crease at the spine, minor rubbing and edgewear. A few tiny millimeter chips, darkening to back panel, but pleasing complete dust jacket overall, now protected in Brodart, with original $2.00 price on front flap.
