Description:
A superb first printing copy.
Stephen King's Danse Macabre by Stephen King (preceded by Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining, The Stand, The Dead Zone.) Hardcover First Edition - First Printing New York: Everest House, 1981 400 pages. $13.95 cover price. Stated Printing code "RRD281", interpreted to mean this copy was issued February, 1981, its first printing. King's first book of nonfiction about the horror genre including books and movies such as "Psycho", "The Shining", and "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson.
Fine- in Fine- Dust Jacket. An exceptional copy, not often found as such, nearly perfect save a few minor shortcomings. As to the book itself, boards are clean, the lettering on the spine very bright, the boards are very clean, corners are mostly straight, with just a hint of tenderness, the inner pages are pretty clean. The dust jacket in one of the best I've seen in several years. NO tears and NO chips, a few rub marks here and there, which plague this book, mostly on the edges,… Read More

Description:
Early 20th-century American Literature by a Woman Writer and Woman's Rights Leader and Suffragette, Signed - Inscribed on the FFEP
Dr. Lavendar's People by Margaret Deland First Edition - Harper & Brothers Publishers 1903 (titlepage date and copyright page date match, 1903). One of her "Old Chester" books which centers around communities in Pittsburg. 370 pages followed by ads. Illustrated with 12 plates. Signed - Inscribed by the author. A beautiful inscription on the front end paper quoting a passage from the book, with author's signature, and dated 1905. An author inscription by a woman writer this early in the 20th century is a very rare find. This was from my grandfather's collection. I would like it to fall in the hands of someone who can truly appreciate it, possibly a collector of early American literature by women writers. Priced to sell.
Very Good book overall, a very nice copy, solid binding, bright etching on the front, typical fraying upper and lower spine, to corners and extremities but… Read More

Description:
Duncton Found by William Horwood (third volume of The Duncton Chronicles including Duncton Wood and Duncton Quest, similar idea to Watership Down by Richard Adams) Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Century UK 1989.
Fine- in Fine- Dust Jacket. A really beautiful copy, covers solid and clean, corners sharp, pages clean, slight toning to the page edges of the text block, which is common for these UK books from the 1980's to 1990's, and a slight hint of a crinkle to the lower bottom right-hand corner of the front, barely noticeable, else fine. A wonderful and chunky book, clocking in at 777 pages.
NOTE: All modern books with dust jackets come with dust jacket covers.

Description:
Duncton Wood first book of the Duncton series (somewhat similar to Watership Down by Richard Adams) by William Horwood Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Country Life Books UK with stunning wrap-around dust jacket art by Douglas Hill. It's been described as Lord of the Rings meets Watership Down.
Fine- in Near Fine Dust Jacket. A good clean copy overall, book itself is quite nice with straight corners and clean boards, just a hint of very light spotting to the top of the text-block otherwise would be fine. The dust jacket is mostly bright and clean, nicks to corners, some edge-wear to heel and back bottom edge, and a closed tear to bottom front left-hand corner which has been repaired with professional adhesive. Still a relatively nice copy of a fairly uncommon book in the first edition. Later published in the US by McGraw-Hill with much less remarkable dust jacket art and is much more common. Perfect copies tend to be priced at $200+.NOTE: All modern books with dust jackets come with dust… Read More

Fine- in Fine Dust jacket, a near-perfect copy save just a tiny hint it may have been read, very slight aging to the text-block, and just a hint of shelf-wear to the bottom spine, else still a beautiful copy.
