Carbon copy of unpublished Ph.D. thesis, typed on University of Montreal stock, illustrated with original photographs and photostats. Inscribed by the author, with ALs laid in. Endorsed in ink by appropriate faculty members. The dissertation is a valuable source on the early exploration of North America. The author went on to the English faculty at Loyola College, devoting his career to pedagogy in place of research.
