Description:
Seeley, Service & Co. LTD, London. Hardcover. Book Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. James Heron (illustrator). Edinburgh by R.L. Stevenson with 24 illustrations in color by James Heron, is in very good + condition. The only markings are a pencil price and a notation (Xmas 19?8). There is very little information as to the date printed, but it was either 1919 or 1912. There are 24 tipped in color illustrations ( another question), the 1919 edition had only six. The 1912 edition had pictorial cloth with 24 illustrations. This copy it bound in light blue cloth over boards with a blind stamped title on the front and gilt spine lettering. I did a bit of research and am unsure what it is. It is what it is, a very fine and interesting small folio or large 8vo. Good luck. A fine collectible. 160 thick pages + 4 pages of adds.
