Description:
New York: Junior Literary Guild, 1930. First edition thus. Printed from the Harcourt plates with reset title page. "Chosen by the editors of the Junior Literary Guild ... as the selection for October, 1930, sent to Older Girls between the ages of 12-16 years." Seventy poems for young people with introduction by Sandburg and illustrations by James Daugherty. 8vo silver-stamped blue moire cloth; 136 pages. Near fine with barest rubbing to edges; in very good dust jacket with quarter-inch chipped from head of spine, and internal tape repair to few splits and tears.
