London: Bestime, 1955 Book. Illus. by Eileen Soper. No Book. No Binding. 1st Edition. The first Famous Five jigsaw, painted specially by Eileen Soper - a picture that does not appear in the books. The puzzle is complete with all pieces and is near-Fine, the box has its little side-flaps missing at each end and a 1" square damage on the front (see pictures), a scarce early Blyton jigsaw.

London: Routledge & Keegan Paul, 1949 Book. Illus. by R M Turvey. Near Fine. Hardcover. 1st Thus. The Far Island 1949 2nd printing, very faint discolouring on boards, but still near-Fine lovely clean copy, in a Fine unclipped d/w, scarce, especially in this condition.

Lovely unmarked royal blue cloth with black lettering to spine, b/w frontispiece by Louis Ward (who also designed the dustwrapper), VG+/Fine copy in VG complete unclipped dustwrapper, just a few closed tears and rubs at corners, a little crushed/rubbed at spine ends - a delightful unfaded copy of a very scarce title, especially in its nice original dustjacket.

Soft cover. ?First Edition. magic paintings (untouched) of farm animals on 8 pages in light colour card covers 7.3" x 9.6", "a Chameleon Book" assumed first edition, in Fine condition, but the front cover has a crease line from the original production, very scarce.

First Edition. the second novel of the Callendar family, two small corner bumps, SIGNED by the author on the half-title, "with best wishes from / John Verney", near-Fine in a VG price-clipped d/w which has a 1" loss at spine top, with colour copy laid behind (see images), otherwise a nice copy.

A literally Mint copy originating from the publisher's stock, and stored for 60 years, literally Mint because it has never been distributed or sold, as beautiful a copy as it's possible to find, Mint in Mint unclipped d/w, lovely.

Series 417 - The Adventures of Wonk - Fireworks (1941) 1st edition, 1st issue, the bootom of the last page was stuck to the pastedown (in production?) and has unstuck leaving a 0.25" strip behind at the bottom, and losing a similar strip from 2 more leaves, not affecting text and only the small margin of the illustrations, also a small surface scuff on white paper opposite the title page, otherwise VG in a VG unpriced d/w, minor rubs and the owner's address written neatly on the front flap, taped on the verso (please see images) a very scarce 1st in d/w.
