This collection was arranged and published by his son Andrew Johns. He was born in 1840 in Redhill, Surrey. Henry worked for three or four years, after leaving school at age 16, working in a brickmacking factory, and then obtained a situation in a horticultural nursery at Milford, near Godalming.
