(binding a bit rubbed & damaged).A very interesting and unusual specimen of an (early?) nineteenth century binding in paper that imitates a leather binding. In the back of the book we find a list of 'Livres ... reliés en basane artificielle...' with their prices (1 page) as well as a one page list of other books available. Caron-Vitet was active in Amiens as a publisher, printer, type founder and stationer.
