Hardcover, reddish orange cloth boards with black text on spine. Exterior shows mild soiling due to handling. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight, no hinge issues. Warmly inscribed and signed by the author to the mayor and his wife: "To Larry and Ella Corn - whose assistance with this book is much appreciated, and whose friendship is much valued. Best wishes! Dick Pedlow 12-25-69". Pages are clean and no issues noted other than a printer's code stamped at the bottom of the comments page in the back of the book. No publication date listed other than the date shown on the Acknowledgments page. This page also mentions the Township official Mr. Lawrence R. Corn.

Philadelphia, PA: Patterson & White Co., 1936. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. VG+/Good+. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. DJ shows edge bumping with small tears and chips, along with some surface soiling. The jacket did a good job protecting the book as the salmon colored boards are clean and bright with only issue being a small dent along the bottom front edge. Binding is tight and pages are clean, no owner's signatures or bookplates. Some minor foxing is present though, mainly to the end pages. Though the copyright and title pages shows the indication of a first edition (showing only the date of 1936) the third front end page has " second edition" in small letters at the top of the page. This same page has a brief inscription and signature from the author.

Philadelphia, PA: The Mary Gaston Barnwell Foundation, 1955. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, red cloth boards stamped on front and spine. Exterior shows spotting on all sides with dark spot on front. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are a bit wavy at the top, likely due from dampstains in front end page through introduction shows a late stain the upper outside corner. The pages were exposed to moisture it in no way affects the text in all pages turn freely. Previous owner's name stamped on front pace down as well as top outside edge of book.

New York: Crown Publishers, 1971. Hardcover. VG+/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Mary Lee. Hardcover with dust jacket. Unpaginated. Original price of $3.95 still present on the front flap. No signatures or bookplates. Only evidence of writing found in book is on the front end page where a previous book store price was penciled in the corner and later erased. Note: there is a remainder dot the top of the book. See photos.

New York: A. L. Burt Company, 1920. 3rd Printing. Hardcover. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, exterior shows some spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The front end page contains a bookstore label in the center of the page and there is in indentation of where something was once written in the upper outside corner. No other markings found in the book, no signatures etc. Page 117 is a chip missing at the lower outside corner which measures just over 1/2 of an inch in each direction. The copyright page states third printing of December, 1920.

St. Paul, MN: West Publishing Co., 1895. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original full leather binding. Leather is soiled in very worn/brittle, edges and corner show numerous chips and tears. Spine is crusty and is cracked at hinges and most of the label is missing. Interior hinges are also cracked at boards which are still attached just by the binders string. The front end page has a two page curriculum tipped in from the Yale Law School, Cases in Criminal Procedure. Underneath this is signed by Harry A. Jones, Yale Law 1901. Mr. Jones went on to become an attorney in Pittsburgh. The text pages are in good shape but several dozen pages have pencil underlining. One of the advertisement pages in the back (the one advertising this title) has some pencil calculations along the top half. The last few pages of the ads and the rear end pages have become detached but are present.

St. Paul, MN: West Publishing Co., 1894. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original full leather binding. Exterior is in rough shape with front board detached and rear board hanging on by a single piece of string. Covering to spine is also missing. Despite the rough exterior the interior binding is good and text pages are tight. Pages are tone due to age and some minor spotting and foxing is present. No signatures or bookplates found. Found within the pages is an old business card for "E. M. Crane" of Chicago "Representing A. Niehans, Manufacturer of Artificial Limbs, Rubber Feet with Ankle Joint". Though this has little reference to the book it will stay with it. First edition thus with single date of 1894 appearing on the title and copyright page.

Exterior shows spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps, edges are also darkened. Interior binding is very good, no hinge issues, nothing torn or loose. No signatures or bookplates. Only handwriting found in book is on the title page where there is very faint evidence of a price once penciled in the corner.

Original flexible leather handbook produced by theVirginia Bridge & Iron Company. Brown leather exterior with gilt to front and spine. Exterior shows edge and corner chips/wear and chipping is also present at top and bottom of spine. Interior binding is good, no hinge issues, nothing torn or loose. Previous owners name is written on front pastedown and it was also found two more times on interior pages, where it was written along the top edge. The blank pages in the back along with the graph paper pages are all handwriting free. Only handwriting found in book were the three signatures in the number 238 written along the page edge of the copyright page. Hardcover, dark green cloth boards ornately decorated in black along with gilt on spine. Exterior shows minor handling wear and spotting along with edge and corner bumps. Internal binding is good, though there is some pulling the front board but the text pages are tight. Paper is toned due to age with minimal foxing and spotting. Original physician's name and address is penciled on the front pastedown. Rear end page and pastedown shows some speckles.

Hardcover, red cloth boards with blindstamped design and gilt on spine. Exterior shows scuffing and spotting, spine is faded with heavy chipping to edges, corners show bumps/wear. The interior binding shows cracks at both the front and rear boards but the text pages are good and secure. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The only evidence of handwriting is on the front end page where just barely see where a price was once penciled in the corner. Pages are quite toned due to age and the end pages and pastedowns are even darker, so the pages can be a bit brittle. There is no publication date listed (ca. 1890) and although this is written in German, it was published in Philadelphia. The main reason for the low condition grade is because of the interior hinge cracks at both boards.

Exterior shows scuffing and wear, spine is darkened and there is a drink ring and staying on the back board. Edges and corners also show bumps/wear. The interior hinges at the boards show only minor surface color cracks but there are numerous areas of the text pages that have pulling. The second frontispiece is starting to detach at the bottom. Pages are quite toned due to age and there is foxing and spotting present. The only handwriting found in the book is a signature written in pencil on the title page. Boston, MA: James R. Osgood and Company, 1875. Hardcover. VG-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, beveled green cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows only minor scuffing along with edge and corner bumps/wear. This book has an attractive exterior which would normally grade as VG+ to near fine but it does have some interior issues. Forest green end pages in front and rear are free of any handwriting or bookplates, no library markings. There is a brief gift inscription on the fourth front end page, and this is the only handwriting found. Pages are toned due to age and light foxing is present throughout. Pages are of heavy bond paper, thick like an index card. The reason for the low condition grade is because the interior binding is brittle and a bit noisy when opened. Hardcover, blue cloth boards with large paper label on front. Exterior shows minor scuffing and soiling along with sunning to the edges and spine. Edges and corners show bumps/wear. Internal binding is good at the boards but there is some pulling throughout the pages where you can see a thin line of webbing. Pictorial end pages in front and rear are free of any handwriting or bookplates, no library markings. The half title page did have something written at the bottom which was erased, though you can still see that something was there.

Philadelphia, PA: Privately Printed by the Kynett Family, 1936. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with original slipcase. Case is intact though edges are toned and some small chips/splits are present at the opening side. Light blue paper covered boards with dark blue cloth the spine. Book is also lightly toned along edges but shows very little use. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no handwriting, no library markings present. Only issue with the book is at the bottom of the front board with are just a bit of rubbing, showing some dark blue. Book grades as VG+ in a VG- slipcase.

Exterior has some very light scuffing and a few smudge marks, corners are are lightly bumped. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No hinge issues, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting, nothing torn or loose. The batch number that you see printed on the last end page is from the publisher run and should be able to be easily erased, if desired. The copyright page states fourth printing of January 1931, which is the same month and year as the first printing.

See photos for condition details.Hardcover, brown cloth boards decorated in black and gilt on front and spine exterior shows minor scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The exterior is an attractive VG condition but the reason for the lower condition grade is the interior binding which is shaky and pulling in several spots to where the page quadrants are only held on by the binding string. The worst is at page 408 where binding is open quite a bit and shows the wedding. Despite this binding issue the book itself is in good shape. Pages are lightly toned due to age but show only minor foxing and spotting scattered about. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting. With a bit of repair work this could become an attractive copy.

Hardcover, brown cloth boards, blindstamped with designs of stars and triple crescent moons. Exterior cloth is still shiny but there is edge and corner bumps/wear. Internal binding is good, no serious hinge issues though the front hinge is just starting to show small hairline cracks. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, nothing torn or loose. The only evidence of handwriting is on the front end page where you can see old dealer info pricing that was written in pencil and then later erased. Pages are toned due to age and there are a few smudge marks and spotting scattered about. First edition thus with a single date of May 1909 appearing on the copyright page.

New York & Cincinnati: FR. Pustet & Co., 1889. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original 1889 publication bound in maroon cloth with blind stamped design and gilt to spine. Board show little wear corners are good but spine is slightly faded in the front board has a strip to where the finish is gone on the cloth along the fore edge. Internal binding of the text pages are tight but hinge is cracked at front board and is starting at rear board. Paper is toned due to age and some very light spotting and foxing is present. No signatures or bookplates but the book is stamped on the front end page, dedication page, and page 19 stating: "Library Apostolic Mission House, Washington DC". No other markings found. A very scarce antiquarian book to find as a first edition.

If it was a card pocket there are no library markings of any kind in this book. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, nothing. Pages are toned due to age and there is some minor scattered foxing and spotting present.
