Hammersmith: Published by William Morris, at The Kelmscott Press, Upper Mall Hammersmith, England, 1895. One of 525 copies, 300 of which were for sale in America and sold by Way & Williams. 12mo, vellum, gilt lettered spine. Near Fine with light staining to vellum covers.

London: The Crime Club, (1937). First English Edition and first printing with new title, originally published as 'Danger in the Dark' by Random House in same year. ''A girl who fled from a man she didn't love but was going to marry, to a final meeting with a man she loved but was never going to see again, a girl who ran through the wind and snow to meet love, and found murder.' Author's third book. Uncommon British edition. This copy with Adrian Homer Goldstone's bookplate. Near Fine bright copy with some dark brown foxing at page edges, in Very Good dustjacket (7/6 price at flap).

New York: Harper and Brothers, 1854. Second Harper edition, but First American edition to be bound in cloth (preceded by the McElrath and Harper wrappers editions). Octavo, original publisher's blind stamped blue cloth, gilt lettered. See Charles Dickens First American Editions by Walter E. Smith, page 329 for full description of this edition. Good only copy of a very scarce book with moderate wear, covers darkened and slightly warped.

New York: Mystery House, 1940. First Edition. Homicide Johnny West had been called in to solved the murder of Harry Waters whose newspaper columns had ruined many men. A very scarce hard-boiled mystery novel by Fisher writing under the pseudonym of Gould. Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket, shallow chips at flap corners, spine ends chipped more deeply.
