Self-published, 1974. 1st . Disbound. Fine. Sid Lorraine. One page with 22-line poem talking about the magic of Magic, somewhat reminiscent of a similar poem by Tony Hassine in 1968. It is attractively printed on heavy beige stock, with an illustrated border of magicians peforming etc. The illustrations are by Sid Lorraine and appear to be hand-colored. "Sid Lorraine -/74" is printed in the lower border. The sheet is tipped onto a larger pumpkin-colored piece of stiff card for protection. Rare and interesting item.

Text is Nearly Fine with "Bob Xmas 1948" inscribed on ffep, bump to bottom-front board. Dust jacket is price-clipped, with light edge-wear, few short edge-tears, around 1/8" loss to spine ends. An attractive copy. Scarce in dust jacket.

Ex-school lib with a few stamps and spine sticker shadow - not as badly marked up as most. Pocket has been neatly removed from rear endpaper. Text has bright, very lightly worn cloth. Typical light signs of children's handling, edge-tears to a few pages. Glue shadows on endpapers from old mylar dj cover (covered by dj so not noticeable). The page tears have been properly repaired with archival glue and are not too noticeable. Dj in fresh mylar is price-clipped, has a couple of short tears, small chips to base of spine. This is the uncommon and better-quality H, B & W Library Binding edition. Hard-to-find book with very bright, fresh dj, better than most ex-lib copies. Good/VG. Scan of dj available.
