This copy belonged to Frederick Seymour Cocks (1882 1953), Independent Labour Party MP for Broxtowe from 1929 until his death. Cocks also authored tracts for the anti-war Union of Democratic Control, as well as a biography of E.D. Morel (1920), his fellow Labour Party MP and campaigner against the exploitation of the Congolese peoples in the Belgian rubber trade.
