New York: Vantage Press, 1974. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Dust jacket shows mild scuffing in handling, prices still present on the front flap. Black cloth boards underneath are clean with very minor edge bumping, mainly to hinge edges. No signatures or bookplates. Book has never been read and the paper shackle is still intact (though has a small tear about 1/4" at the bottom. In the preamble the author basically asks whether the reader is sure of their faith. If the answer is yes, the author suggests that one read no further. He then bounds the remaining pages together with a "paper shackle" - and within the link it reads: "Don't break this shackle unless you are searching for truth based on logic.". An extremely rare book and we've never heard of a copy being available with the shakle unbroken.
