Hardcover, brown cloth boards three-quarter bound in leather. Leather on spine is freighted edges and to the finish, there is also a deep spot near the center as shown in the photos. Edges and corners show wear. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings found. Pages are tone due to age and there is a bit of pulling near the back section page 70/71. Pages are divided into numerous chapters, each chapter is numbered independent.

Leather shows minor scuffing and rubbing. Decorated end pages and front and rear. Pages are mildly toned due to age but are mostly clean. Unpaginated as each chapter has its own numbering system. NOTE: THIS IS AN EX-LIBRARY COPY. The front pastedown has a stamp in the front end page has a label stating this came from the J. Herman Bosler memorial Library. The rear pastedown contains a card pocket and along the top edge the title of the book has been penned. Text pages are unmarked and binding is tight.

DJ shows scuffs and light soiling along with wear to the edges and corners. Red cloth boards underneath the are still bright and shining though rear board has some light spotting and the orange cloth on the spine has a whitish mark on the bottom left side. Price is clipped on the front flap. Interior binding is good and pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates present. Both the front end page and front flap of DJ has a stamp in the corner which reads Made In Ireland. Text pages are clean but end pages show foxing with front end page showing scuffs and the darkest foxing stain along the top.

Providence, RI: Privately Printed, 1935. Hardcover. VG-. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Hardcover. Special limited edition printed and bound for Eugene A. Clauss in December of 1935, of which this is copy number 47. This is a thin book, comprised of only four pages not including the title and frontispiece. Bound with string in three places along spine. There is a bit of pulling in the hinge area because of this with front board starting to crack at the bottom of the hinge area. Faint evidence of penciled price on front end page, upper corner, that was erased. Pages are clean, no handwriting or bookplates. See photos.

Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press, 1969. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. DJ shows some minor spotting and soiling along with a couple edge and corner bumps/small tears. The price is clipped on the front flap. Yellow cloth boards underneath her clean with only minor corner bumps. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no remainder marks. The only evidence of handwriting found in the book is at the top of the front end page we can just barely see where something was written in pencil, possibly a signature or price, and then later erased. No other handwriting found in the book. The book itself would normally grade is fine, but the exterior page edges show a couple scuff lines and foxing spots.

Inscribed and signed on the front end page by Dr. Elek Horvath, presenting the book to his pastor: "To Msgr. Robert E Lewis, our Pastor and spiritual leader, on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of his priesthood, with deep gratitude: Elek and Viola M Horvath. June 12, 1972". Elek Horvath is the editor of this book and his name appears on the copyright page stating Prepared for Publication by: Dr. Elek Horvath. This is a book of poetry that is in both English and Hungarian. The dust jacket shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear/tearing. Ivory cloth boards underneath are clean though the spine is a bit yellowed. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. DJ is spotted and soiled and has numerous chips and tears. The underside of DJ was reinforced with masking tape a long the top and bottom. The tape is now old and brittle. Red cloth boards underneath are still clean and bright. The original price of $2.50 still present on the front flap. Interior binding is good, no hinge issues, nothing torn or loose. There are foxing spots present though mainly limited two the end pages and title page as well as exterior book edges. Inscribed and signed by the author who presented the book to the Tea Party Chapter of Annapolis, Maryland, Daughters of the American Revolution.

Garden City, NY: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc., 1943. Hardcover. VG+/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. The original price of $3.00 is still present on the front flap. The book includes a taped in piece of paper that has the Colonel's signature on it. DJ shows some scuffing and spotting and there are two tears present - both on the front. The largest one is in the upper left and you can see a darkened area where someone had taped it underneath (the tape dried out and fell off) and there is a smaller tear near the lower right corner. Green cloth boards underneath the clean with the only issues being a couple light corner bumps. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. There is a bookplate on the front pastedown but there is no handwriting in the book, at least on the pages. Hardcover, signed and inscribed by the author/actress to what appears to be a friend. Red cloth boards show fading along the tops of both boards and spine is quite faded. Some light spotting is also present with dark spots in the hinge valleys. The interior binding is good and text pages are tight, no hinge issues. Pages are toned due to age and there is some browning to the gutter at both the front and rear boards. The inscription and signature from the author is on the front end page and on the rear pastedown there is some notes: the first one states: "Finished 4-12-39 Disappointing". The second comment reads: "5-10-64 - This time I found interesting for what it contains - but - there is still something missing. New York: Vantage Press, 1974. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Dust jacket shows mild scuffing in handling, prices still present on the front flap. Black cloth boards underneath are clean with very minor edge bumping, mainly to hinge edges. No signatures or bookplates. Book has never been read and the paper shackle is still intact (though has a small tear about 1/4" at the bottom. In the preamble the author basically asks whether the reader is sure of their faith. If the answer is yes, the author suggests that one read no further. He then bounds the remaining pages together with a "paper shackle" - and within the link it reads: "Don't break this shackle unless you are searching for truth based on logic.". An extremely rare book and we've never heard of a copy being available with the shakle unbroken.

Harrisburg, PA: United Evangelical Publishing House, 1904. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows spotting and light soling, edges and corners show bumps/wear. Inscribed and signed by author on the front end page which also shows a December 16, 1913 date. The front end page, title page, and dedication page all contain a small hole on the right edge, possibly caused by insects or something that ate through the paper. The binding for the text pages is good and so is the front board but the rear board hinge is cracked. Paper is toned due to age and there is some light smudge marks and foxing present.

Exterior shows spotting to the cloth finish but corners are sharp. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. Paper is toned due to age and there is some spotting and foxing present with the worst being the end pages and pastedowns. Front pastedown contains original owner's bookplate, no other markings found - no signatures, no handwriting, no library markings. Book is unpaginated and each page is dedicated to one or two days, offering tidbits of religious information or philosophy.

Price is clipped awful bottom of front flap with a second price stamped next to it. Underside of DJ shows mending along spine and top edge with tape. But but grey cloth boards with blue text. No signatures or bookplates, binding good with no issues. Front end page shows evidence of where a price was once penciled in the upper right corner. Foxing noted on scattered pages, mainly the title page. Top edge mildly dust darkened. Dust jacket shows soiling and DJ spine has what appears to be pencil marks.

Spine sunned and faded. Binding clean and tight - no handwriting or bookplates. Slipcase faded but complete and without splits. Exterior of slipcase has light damage where a pricetag was removed and book title was hand written on spine side of slipcase. Annual holiday keepsake by Edna G. and Harold H. Kynett. Rare to find with slipcase.
