In this long and substantive letter written from Hollywood to his wife, Patchen writes about an offer by composer Harry Geller (1913-2008) to compose a libretto for an opera Geller would write. Patchen shares the assurances he received about Geller with his wife. Patchen writes that working with Geller could be a "real break" for them. He fills the letter with news of his work, rain that would drive crowds from his readings, "bkstore imprints" and "Doris Duke" who hadn't seen the "letter sent to Foundation...." A fine information laden letter from husband to wife.. Simply signed, "Kenneth." With full signature in the form of the addressee, "Mrs. Kenneth Patchen." Autograph
