Description:
First Edition; First Printing. Special Limited Edition of the President Carter's memoir. Signed by Carter with his full signature 'Jimmy Carter' on the limitation page. Fine in navy blue cloth, and a near fine matching slipcase, slightly scuffed. The problems that Jimmy Carter faced in the White House were tremendous. This book gives a very thorough and honest review of the major challenges confronting President Carter in the late 1970s. He brought to the Oval Office a habit he shared with two of his 20th century predecessors, Nixon and Truman - that of writing daily entries in a diary. This he maintained, thankfully, throughout his presidency. It is from these entries that his memoirs are constructed.

Description:
First edition. Early Printing (1939). Copyright page cites only the first two books by this author: "Mullberry Street" and "The Five Hundred Hats." Near fine in a very good plus dust jacket, wonderful condition for it's age. Binding tight with pages bright and unmarked. Small school stamp on front red board and lib card on rear, with no other markings. Yellow cloth-covered boards with dark-red lettering to front in near fine condition. The rare dustjacket is more than very good, overall, with edge and spine chipping commensurate with age, a four inch closed tear on front cover that is hardly visible, and moderate sine wear and chipping. A wonderful copy thus.

It is surrounded by water, which is held back from flooding the land by a ring of dike trees, which are in turn subject to attack from flocks of nizzards. To protect the kingdom, a legion of Patrol Cats… Read More

Description:
First Edition, First Printing. Fine in a fine dust jacket. Beautifully illustrated by Trina Schart Hyman throughout. Glossy pictorial boards. White endpapers. A story based on the first part of "The Tale of Sir Gareth of Orkney" as related by Malory, this Arthurian tale of a knightly quest undertaken by a young man whose mettle and noble birth are revealed along the way. With her unique ability to interpret and extend a text, Hyman continues to be an illustrator par excellence: these illustrations have her usual narrative power, incisive characterizations, and beguiling settings....a grand tale in a handsome edition."
