Lazarus Laughed by Eugene O'Neill (author of Long Day's Journey Into Night and the Iceman Cometh) Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Boni and Liveright 1927. $2.50 cover price intact. FINE in Near Fine+ Dustjacket. An absolutely superior copy. The book itself appears like NEW, boards are very clean and crisp, corners straight, no reading wear at all, interior pages very clean and bright. Dust jacket is present and in just about as good a condition as you could ask for regarding a book from pre-1930. The dust jackert is very clean and bright, NO fraying or chips at all! Hint of a slit to top edge, very unnoticeable, and slight nicking to upper spine corners, else a very intact nearly perfect dust jacket! Just about as nice as you could ask for in a book which is 85 years old! I challenge anyone to find a better copy.NOTE: All modern books with dustjackets come with dustjacket covers.

Description:
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov Hardcover First UK Edition - First Printing London: Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1959. 21s original cover price. Modern Library ranked Lolita as the 4th most important novel of the 20th century.

Lolita has a strange publishing history. It was first published in two paperbacks by The Olympia Press in Paris in 1955, most near fine or better copies are priced at $5000+. It was then published later by G.P. Putnam's Sons in the US later the same year and finally in the UK in 1959. Even the US edition is often priced at $1000+. This is a less-expensive alternative.

Very Good+ in Fine- dust jacket. A beautiful copy with a particularly exceptional dust jacket. Boards are clean, hint of a bend to the front board, some spotting to the edges of the text block and end-papers (due to the quality of the paper and age) but the interior pages look much brighter. The dust jacket is beautiful NO chips or tears. Typical toning to the back. Otherwise an exceptionally nice copy of this book… Read More
