Paris: Librairie Armand Colin, 1911. Hardcover . Used - very good. 12mo.; 320pp. 3/4 red Morocco leather over marbeled boards. Spine with 5 raised bands and compartments ruled in gilt, as well the lettering in gilt. Inscribed by Sabatier to prominent Philadelphian, Thomas Willing Balch (d. 1927) and with Balch's coat of arms bookplate, front pastedown. Along with the inscription on the half-title page are notes made by Balch as to when, and from whom he received this copy, and affixed to page are 3 cancelled postage stamps from Strasbourg, the location from which Sabatier sent the book. A square, tight copy, handsomely housed in a custom binding, albeit with a bit of fade and rubbing to spine, and now protected in a removable mylar cover.

La Jolla: La Jolla Directory Co., 1961. Softcover . Used - near very good. 8vo; 344pp. Index card containing local phone prefixes is taped to title page, obscuring some lettering (can be removed). Covers lightly worn. Among other luminaries is the entry for Theodore Geisel ('writer'). Most entries have the person's occupation listed next to their name, rather fascinating (but of course try finding a female with an occupation...oh, the times, they have changed!).

Waterville: Colby College Press, 1950. Hardcover . Used - very good/Near very good. 16mo; 61pp. Previous owner has written in pencil, on front pastedown, 'Fay bought at Colby'. We cannot say for certain but it is possible 'Fay' is Lawrence Clark Powell's wife. We purchased the collection of Dr. John Carson, a fellow member of The Zamorano Club, and Mr. Carson had numerous books inscribed to him by Mr. Powell. A square, tight copy, in unclipped (no price) dj which mildly rubbed, with a few light stains and tiny chips to extremities, the dj now protected in a removable mylar cover.

Slight offseting to illustrations. Brown cloth boards moderately scuffed, spine somewhat faded althought gilt lettering complete and quite legible. 1 inch closed tear to near bottom of spine, spine tips rubbed off. Now protected in removable mylar.
