Description:
RARE. 27 p. Covers have a few insignificant closed tears, front cover has a small light stain, and the pages have been slightly creased at the bottom corner, but the book is otherwise Fine. This zine, formerly known as KIMOSABE, is a rather rudimentary publication of bare-bones text, for the most part, which seems to be the journal of Parker, discussing daily activities and events, including his experience on a "lemon water cleanse" and vandalizing surfaces with his resume in an attempt to get a job (which garners him a TV interview).

Description:
128 p.; profusely illustrated. Dust jacket has general shelf wear and an impression to rear (also affecting read board). Faint watermark to Contents page, otherwise clean, bright, tightly bound, Fine condition. From dust jacket flaps: In a society governed by laws, there are perhaps no more important members than those who maintain order and ensure justice. Some use a gun and a badge, some an attache case and a book of statutes. But they all share a common zeal—to safeguard the lives and rights of their fellow citizens. Now in Lawmen, Crimebusters and Champions of Justice, these guardian angels, the institutions for which some of them work, and the system itself are given their due. In the first part of the book, "The Men," you will meet a diverse group of dedicated individuals. There is Wyatt Earp, the legendary lawman of Dodge City, Kansas; Wild Bill Hickok, the equally famous marshal of Abiline, Kansas; and Pat Garrett, the Lincoln County sheriff who gunned down Billy the Kid. There are the Old…

The book is ex-library with internal stamps, stickers, and pocket remnant, and the covers have minor tape residue to cloth side (from previous jacket sleeve) but otherwise the book is in Fine condition.Edited and with an introduction by Ronald A. Wells. From the dust jacket flap: Letters From a Young Emigrant in Manitoba, first published in 1883 and long out-of-print, is one of the best records of Canadian immigrant life. The letters were written by Edward ffolkes, who left England in 1882 study at the Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph and later to homestead in southern Manitoba. They describe with rare insight the daily struggles and expectations of an "ordinary man" who had the courage to take up a new life on the frontier. Ronald A. Description:
356 p. Mild page curl and minor shelfwear, otherwise Near Fine. Winner of the Man Booker Prize. From the back: After the tragic sinking of a cargo ship, one solitary lifeboat remains bobbing on the wild, blue Pacific. The crew of the surviving vessel consists of a hyena, an orang-utan, a zebra with a broken leg, a 450-pound Royal Bengal tiger and Pi Patel, a 16-year-old Indian boy. The scene is set for one of the most extraordinary pieces of literary fiction of recent years, a novel of such rare and wondrous storytelling that it may, as one character claims, make you believe in God. Can a reader reasonably ask for anything more? May require small amount of extra shipping due to thickness of book.

A thousand years of Scotland's history .. . the growth of a nation . . . its struggle for independence and its surrender of that independence. . . . This is not the story of one people but of six — Pict and Scot, Briton, Angle, Norseman and Norman — all of whom were slowly united in one contentious kingdom, and whose descendants are now called Scots.
