Description:
New York, NY: Kingswell, 2014. 1st Edition. Hardcover. New/New. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 1st Printing LV2 This book is in terrific condition. The story is told by pulitzer prize winning dad, Ron Suskind, about his son Owen. Owen was meeting his milestones till just before his 3rd birthday when he stopped talking and withdrew into autism. For years then his only method of communication was via former favorite Disney animated movies which he wanted to watch over and over and memorized. His family had to learn to be assigned characters and settings in order to interact with him. A fascinating read, this family's struggle was also made into a major motion picture.
