The essay declares CAS truly the last great romantic poet writing in traditional form, tracing an historic lineage from Edmund Spenser, through George Sterling. It's heavy going, but the author knows his history, and his subject, very well. Nicely signed and inscribed by the author. Published by NYCTALOPS'sHarry O. Morris under his Silver Scarob Press moniker. Staple-bound between heavy paper covers.

London, Victor Gollancz, 1984. [First Edition]. LIES, INC., was originally published in paperback in 1966 as, THE UNTELEPORTED MAN. This edition adds more than 30,000 words that Dick had written, and was never published for a revised edition he was preparing at the time of his death, in 1982. Dick's literary agent discovered the complete text, prepared by Dick, and recruited fellow writer, John Sladek to bridge a few missing gaps pages in the narrative, specifically, pgs. 143, and 168-69. A very fine unread copy in d.j.

Lovecraft, from the last eighty years. Weird Tales, paperback covers, fanzines, movies, sculptures, private commissions, etc. Artists include, Michael Whelan, H.R. Giger, Lee Brown Coye, Virgil Finlay, Gahan Wilson, John Coulthart, Ian Miller, and dozens of others in an oversized 12 × 15.5 inch book. Also included are many previously unpublished works, & several major essays. Foreword by Stuart Gordon; introduction by Harlan Ellison, afterword by Thomas Ligotti. Heavily bound, issued in a cloth slipcase. A very handsome production. A few light corner bumps, unavoidable with these huge Centipede productions, else, Fine in d.j.

[N.p., but located in Hampshire, UK]: Spectre Press, [1976]. [First Printing]. This early Jim Pitts portfolio features six drawings based upon the fictional works & locales, of H.P. Lovecraft: The Outsider, The Terrible Old Man, Night Gaunts, The Call of Cthulhu, Innsmouth, and the Music of Erich Zann.Heavily influenced by Hannes Bok, and Virgil Finlay, but the artist's stipple is broader than the fine Finlay technique, giving the drawings a more sinister feel, but there's a bit of Hannes Bok "cheekiness" in the poses, suggesting that we're really not to take these horrors too seriously. The Portfolio is Signed by the artist. There is a booklet included with Lovecraft's likenessnicely done, deeply shadowedon the cover, and a Dirk Mosig article on HPL, along with Jim Pitts's biography. Slick paper, heavier stock, in a stiff illustrated manilla folder. A little bump to lower R.H., corner, else fine. Very, very nicely done. I, myself, am a big fan of Pitts's work.

Annapolis, MD: US Naval Academy, 1929. First Printing. The Naval Academy at Annapolis, graduating class of 1929, of which Robert A. Heinlein was a member. A young Heinlein is accorded a handsome photograph and write-up listing his fields of expertise; Heinlein ranked Expert Rifleman, and was a medal winning Epee, fencer. A unique—rare addition to the Heinlein collector who thinks he has "everything." A large heavy book in fair-good minus condition.
