This beautifully designed publication was printed by Christine Bertelson at the Rara Avis Press in Riverside, California. "The illustrations were taken from photographs of funeral masks" (from the colophon). There was not a trade edition of this collection, and all copies were signed by Merrill on the colophon. A lovely copy in fine condition.

The prospectus reads (in part) "This suite is limited to 50 copies, presented in handmade portfolios." A trade edition of the same title was later issued by George Adams Gallery Press (1997). A fine copy of the prospectus only, printed on one sheet of card stock and folded to create four pages. Specially signed in year of issue.
