Tipped onto the title-page is a printed slip announcing the book had been awarded the publisher's best first novel prize. The panel of judges comprised Eden Phillpotts, Gerald Cumberland, Osbert Sitwell and Grant Richards. Some tanning to endpapers. Very good indeed in the very scarce dustwrapper, with a colour illustration by C.R.W. Nevinson, which is very good, slightly rubbed, chipped at head and tail of spine and with some dampstaining to spine.
