Blue with silver lettering, bruised spine ends, mild age toning. Signed on custom matching bookplate, black felt. DJ has minor wrinkling matching the bruised spine ends, price intact.

Dark Blue paper boards with Silver lettering on the spine. The only defects are the light Bruising to the spine ends. Signed in marker on the limited bookplate just for this book, on the 1st leaf. No other markings. Unread tightness, very square, and very clean, small label last leaf. DJ: light rubbing and light Shelf-wear. Price is intact. I am adding Brodart to the DJ, now.

EXACT SAME AS THE 1ST EDITION 1934, brown cloth with labels on the Spine(dirty spine cloth and the label is dirty, too. It might clean up but why de-age it) and Front cover. A paper form clipped to the 1st leaf with form THE NEW YORK TIMES, BOOK REVIEW, When Received..AUG.20, Publisher's Price $2. and then instructions on how to write to the review standards. Their form F 361 5M 10-33 slip is aged with the top edge fading(wonderful) appearance. It has not had a dustcover due to the soiled spine(Maybe able to clean but why it is part of the aging process). I added facsimile dustjacket 2nd state no reviews, wonderful copy for this book. The clip is rusting leaving shadows on the inside cover and the slip(leave it to show age because the damage is done). The spine is soiled and weaken to the point just before fraying(very close or is fraying) another reason to add a dustjacket) The bottom spine end is worst than the top spine end(but it has fuzz). Ludgate Hill: George Routledge &sons,limited 20 page introduction(very informative),4 pages of table of contents -71 stories(chapters),387 numbered pages. This is the expanded edition, no illustrations, The New Universal Library,greenish-black cloth covers with minor edgewear, minor rubbing, very tight and clean, no adverts. I bought this book 25 years ago because of the extra stories not found in other books, this is a second impression(2nd printing) of what I believe is the 2nd-expanded edition as per the introduction, there was a high demand for more of these stories from Chandler(it was a hit in England. I have researched this book and the date of this copy should be around 1885(being a second impression). Illus. by None.No Ads. I have found no other copy of this book or the one before it. It is a stand-alone copy but does state "uniform with this book "UNCLE REMUS" I wish I had that book to go with this one, it might make more sense( I can't find that copy neither ).
