Good / poor. 1938 Faber & Faber, first edition. Hardcover with dust jacket. Book is in good shape, with bumping to one corner and mildly tanned pages. Dust jacket is hanging on for dear life, with several areas of paper loss (see photos).

Near Fine. 1984 Granada, film tie-in edition. Softcover. Sharp, crisp copy, with just a slight spine lean. Tie-in with the Sam Peckinpah film, featuring Rutger Hauer, John Hurt, Burt Lancaster and Dennis Hopper. I wonder if there were any ego clashes on that set? That cast strikes me as potentially problematic - pure conjecture and projection on my part, but you know I'm probably right.

VG - VG+. 1958 Heinemann, first edition. Hardcover with dust jacket. Jacket is price-clipped & has minor edge wear, but still a very nice copy. As with most Greene novels, the film version was not far behind the book release - directed by Carol Reed and this time starring the great Alec Guiness.

NF. 1966 Pan Books M121, first printing. Softcover. Basis for the Jack Clayton directed film version, starring Dirk Bogarde + a cast of child actors - including Pamela Franklin, who had starring Clayton's previous film 'The Innocents'. Terrific condition.

VG. 1980 Proteus Books, first printing. Softcover. Very cool book, documenting the "We Are Family" era Pirates team - with a focus on Willie Stargell. Great photography throughout. Corners are worn, but still a nice copy. Oversized (8" X 9").
